2019 Summer Residency
In her summer residency, Ryana Lawson (MFA ‘19) pushes forward ideas that captivated her during her graduate studies in ceramics, and identifies new ones to explore. Over the course of the summer, Lawson will delve into old and new interests such as the ceramic vessel, papier mache objects, and large-scale installation. Borland Project Space will become a site for investigation, particularly of the artist’s newfound interest in plants and their potential to enrich the lives of communities. Visit the space each week to see the artist’s work as it evolves, culminating in an exhibition at the end of the summer.
