The Borland Project Space (BPS) is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the 2018 -2019 academic year. We welcome adventurous, inventive ideas from students, faculty, and staff in the College of Arts and Architecture that activate 125 Borland while addressing the BPS mandate of “arts research revealed.” Projects that engage with the university and larger communities and illuminate the processes and products of research in the fields of arts and design are especially welcomed. BPS anticipates offering modest budgets for selected projects.

  • Projects may occupy the space for a minimum of one day and up to one month (workshops, performances, exhibitions, short courses, etc.).
  • Projects that engage students are encouraged. This could include embedding a course in the space, presenting an exhibition of student work, faculty-student collaborations, or other.
  • Applicants must submit a short project description (maximum 250 words). Project descriptions should include how the space will be used, how the project meets the goal of “revealing arts research,” and how the project will engage with the university and broader communities.

Interested faculty, staff, and students may submit their project descriptions via email to Ann Tarantino ( and Haley Finnegan (

Deadline: December 21, 2017.

A limited number of projects will be selected for further development.
